macchs Light Macaroni and Cheese Casserole - This super simple mac and cheese casserole is “lighter” than the traditional, in that we used sweet, succulent ham and golden pineapple for the add ins. A “less than 30 Minute Meal”, it is always very popular with kids. Also a sensational Easter or Christmas Brunch Recipe.

Ingredients to make Light Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

7 ounce pkg elbow macaroni
8 ounce jar processed American cheese
1 1/2 cups fully cooked ham, diced
8 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup onion, finley chopped

Directions to make Light Macaroni and Cheese Casserole

Step 1:Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Meanwhile, mix all other ingredients together, to make a cheese sauce.
Step 2:Stir in cheese sauce until combined. Add remaining ingredients. Transfer to a serving bowl; serve immediately.
